Facelift at The Indian Hero……Courtesy of Mathen Raj.

It was bare, naked, exposed, plain and stark even……until a HERO (Indian at that’)… came to our rescue.

We speak of our food counter !! A focal part of the restaurant . Once bare and now adorned with pieces that make up an attractive focus point at The Indian Hero.

A few months back my partner Prakash casually requested for an architecture student, Mathen Raj from UCSI to come up with a design for our, then plain food display counter. Not too long after, Mathen came back with models of the current counter and his idea for the improved version. We were impressed!

It looked so good as mere models, we were anxious to see what the end result would be.

A traditional bulla-cart wheel (like the ones you’d see at the Paddy fields), wooden windows with pictures of Indian classical dancers pasted on, a tent-like roof and simple wood work; worked wonders. The once dull counter has now been transformed.

It took Mathen and his sidekicks, Hari and Kesha, a few nights at the restaurant and lots of behind the scene work to get it all up.It's simple & elegant and we’ve received so many compliments about the counter ever since.

We’d like to sincerely thank Mathen for his hardwork & dedication and his friends for taking time to create our lovely food counter.
